Nairobi, Nrb 14th January 2014 – In the midst of all the beliefs and stereotypical views on Africa, it still remains the best continent in the universe, full of love and humanism. This is what Dr3am Ville and Mukatiende aims to showcase on their new single, Newayo.
The multi-genre Kenyan group teams up with Zimbabwe’s best vocalist and producer to bring this infectious African classic fusion in a song that clearly portrays the beautiful yet forgotten sounds of our motherland. While paying tribute to some of the greatest musicians to ever come out of Africa like Fela Kuti, Tabuley and Bi. Kidude on the bridge, the song also highlights some of the best cultural gems that make our motherland just unique.

 

To them it is just a “Dark Continent”, but to us, this is our home. The best we have ever known.

Dr3am Ville (read Dreamville) is a multi-genre music group originating from and based in Kenya, launched on January 14^th 2012. It consists of three passionate artistes, namely Mishu, Webb, & R.H. The group aims to share their diverse Kenyan culture and talent globally. Their debut EP, African Story, is almost ready for release; one they claim will be all about showing the awesomeness of their motherland - Africa, to the world. The EP is expected to have different African sounds as well as guest features from Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Angola.
